AMERICA ROCKS
Went out the other night, I heard a bunch of voices getting loud Couldn't stand not knowing I walked down the street and I saw an angry crowd Holding peace signs that said, “No War” And “There's Nothing Worth Fighting For” I had to wipe a teardrop from my eye ‘Cause my father fought for this great land and if he’d had to, he would've proudly died
Then I saw this young girl, standing on the corner across the street I walked up to talk to her, she could not have been more than thirteen We watched a sign go by that said, “America Has Brought This On Herself” So I asked her what she knew about our country and how a young girl felt She turned her head and looked away Down the street a little ways The Stars and Stripes were blowing in the breeze She turned back and answered what she said it nearly brought me to my knees
She said, “America rocks and Old Glory waves, O'er the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave For two hundred years, remember the loss And the price that we paid, it's still worth the cost To live as we live, where freedom is true And we bath in the glow of the Red, White and Blue America rocks, America rocks”.
The world's busy changing, for better, worse or somewhere in between Evil rears it's ugly head from time to time, to put down the dream Well let's not forget not long ago, the enemies of freedom won the day Terror filled the skies but in the end, it only jolted us awake They knocked a couple buildings down To turn our world upside down From the ashes this proud bird will rise You can call us what you want to, but you damn well better not spit on our flag
Because America rocks and Old Glory waves, O'er the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave For two hundred years, remember the loss And the price that we paid, it's still worth the cost To live as we live, where freedom is true And we bath in the glow of the Red, White and Blue America rocks, America rocks
We're never going to hit the floor It's been tried time and time before Liberty is still a dream worth dreaming of I'm proud to be an American, God bless this land I love
America rocks and Old Glory waves, O'er the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave For two hundred years, remember the loss And the price that we paid, it's still worth the cost To live as we live, where freedom is true And we bath in the glow of the Red, White and Blue America rocks, America rocks America rocks, America rocks America rocks, America rocks America rocks
