PERFORMANCE 101

Answering All The Questions You've Been Afraid Or Didn't Know You Needed To Ask

(Coming In The Fall Of 2024)

IF YOU ARE A WORKING musician or want to be, you have undoubtedly come to the realization that there is a lot to know, and let's face it, the journey can be a tough one to navigate.  At times it can definitely seem overwhelming, convoluted  and discouraging. Sometimes the questions never get asked for fear of being ridiculed for asking a  “dumb question”  or a question you should already know the answer to.  Enter Performance 101.  Besides our belief there is is no such thing as a dumb question, we have taken it a step further and compiled a slew of items and scenarios you may not even know you need to know. We will deal with topics such as putting your act together, making the right first impression(s), booking gigs and getting compensated, how to behave during shows (on and off stage), “dead air”, dealing with stage fright, rehearsals, setting up your stage, performance gear (the right tools for the job -- enough vs. too much vs. not enough), managers and agents, selling band “merch", performing “covers” vs. original songs, overall professionalism and much more including interactive roll playing activities and lots of Q&A in a friendly, fun and non judgmental environment. Our goal is for you to walk out knowing a whole lot more than you did when you walked in and have the confidence to up your game and be a player in the world of Live Performance.

THE PROGRAM will begin with an introduction and brief talk about Artist Development by Blue Tree Records and Harvest Moon Studios owner Michael Peterson, after which Dave Land will take the stage for Performance 101.  As an added bonus, during our lunch break we will be encouraging attendees to introduce themselves and meet other musicians from the local music community.  You never know who might be sitting next to you at an event like this.

THE CLINIC/WORKSHOP will be held in the fall of 2024 at Harvest Moon Studios, 505 Estudillo Street in Martinez, CA.  Please watch for updates as we determine the date, time, cost to attend and any other pertinent details.

SHOULD YOU HAVE questions or require additional information, please email Dave Land at: daveouzo@hotmail.com.

THANKS EVERYONE. We hope to see you all at  our Performance 101 event.  Please stayed tuned for further details. We will update them as we have them. Cheers!!!
